# Read release notes over HTTP

> Fetch published releases from a browser, native app, or server.

Use the public HTTP API with any stack. You need a [published note and its project ID](https://docs.makershq.dev/integrations/release-notes.md#prepare-a-release). No API key is required.

## 1. Fetch the first page

Replace `YOUR_PROJECT_ID` with the public ID from project settings and run:

```sh theme={null}
curl --fail-with-body 'https://makershq.dev/api/v1/projects/YOUR_PROJECT_ID/releases'
```

## 2. Check the result

Look for your title in `items`. The first page contains up to ten notes in publication order, newest first. If the response is `200` with an empty list, confirm the note is **Published** in this project. Follow `nextCursor` if your note is on an older page.

## 3. Show a link in your app

Use the returned `title` as the link text and `url` as the destination. To render the full article, read the [HTTP API reference](https://docs.makershq.dev/integrations/release-notes/http-api.md) for exact-version requests, Markdown rendering, images, and error responses.
